What are the advantages and disadvantages of MPFI(Multi point fuel injection)?

    Multipoint fuel injection allows the injection of the fuel into each cylinder (or into the manifold to an individual cylinder). It is most efficient and responds more quickly to changing conditions (speed up). The disadvantage is it requires more working parts, so there is a greater chance of malfunction.

multi point fuel injection helps in uniform combustion of fuel inside the combustion chamber.. so the pressure develops willl also acts uniformly on the piston(less stress on piston) giving more efficiency and engine life... there will b less incompleate combustion leaving high fuel efficiency and power. Mis firing some times, if any one of the injection point is blocked due to any reason.. periodic inspection required to maintain the maximum efficiency. the fuel injector itself has a higher price tag than the normal one.
