A switch for a light is either closed (light on) or open (light off). A light circuit which is a closed loop (which we call a Ring feed). If a circuit feeds point A B C & D if there is a break between A & B there will still be power to supply A B C & D as it is a loop feed. This system was used up untill the last war and then discontinued. A loop feed is still used in an electrical supply system feeding an area for an electrical grid by a supply commision.

1. an open system is one where the process takes place like: input->process->output in this case one has to try different inputs to get the desired output whereas, a closed system or a closed loop system (as you specified) is a system where the process takes place as: input->comparator->error->controller->… where, the output is manipulated and is fed back to the comparator to find the error occured which is then fed to the controller to control the process accordingly. when error is minimum the process gives the actual desired output. 2. open system is stable whereas closed loop system is unstable and can even become oscillatory

the close systme is when an external source informs the controller about the status of the system for example when u want to run a motor in colsed system u will need a generator connected to the motor to tell the controller of that motor what speed the motor is running at so the controller can speed the motor if it was running slower and by that the motor dosnt change its speed even it a load was applied to it. open system is when there is no feedback to the controller so when u run the motor the controller will tell the motor to run but when u apply a load to the motor the motor will slow down

A closed systems is one where there are no external factors affecting processes. In an open system (like the earth) external factors affect things withen the system and energy can be gained or lost (heat and light from the sun) for example

Open system - output has nothing to do with the error produced Closed system - output is continuously change accordingly to minimizes the error ........ here, error = desired o/p - obtained o/p
