For Career in Information Systems/Choose Degree in Computer Science or Engineering?
-
I recently graduated and earned a B.B.A. in Management. I've decided to go back to school to earn another degree in order to help me start a career within management information systems. Which discipline would prove the most beneficial over the next few years?
-
Answer:
For Information Systems, go with Computer Science for sure. Engineering will, at best, fill your head with computer architectures, pipelines, caches, registers, bauds, bytes, flops, and a lot of stuff a nice clean-living BBA doesn't need to trouble himself with. There is enough specialization in Information Technology these days to fill an entire curriculum, so focus on that.
