Is extension maths for HSC compulsory for doing engineering at uni?

Im taking alevel physics, im not sure which maths to do,C1,2,3,4 or mechanics,i want to do engineering in uni?

• For my Alevel im taking physics, maths, ict and graphics and im not sure which maths to do, iv been advised to take mechanics as its related to physics and if i don't i will not be able to do engeenering related courses in UNI, is that true?
