My teacher wants me to make a homemade sled....wut would be the best material to use and how would i build it?

wood, plastic, metal, whatever. Make sure you sand it down and give it a nice polish for the finishing touch if you choose wood =] To be creative, make the design unique.

depends what grade you are in, if you're in like middle school , she problaby wont expect much, but if you wanna go all out, try cutting pieces of wood trying to make a shape of a sled then put pieces of metal at the bottom so that it would be easier to slid down a snowy hill

use wood cut it into the shape you want either that or thick plastic...

find some images of toboggans, i think that might be the best way....and then build a simple chasy or base...lay out a simple frame and bend thin ply wood for the front....shouldnt be to hard good luck

if you can get laminate, like that fake wood stuff used for flooring, or even those plastic fake tiling in a lot of bathrooms and kitchens, put that on the base. It slides like crazy. Make sure you curve up the front, like a ski or toboggan. If you don't the front edge will catch and you either won't slide, or you'll flip. make a platform to sit or lay on with wood or something like that. If you do get laminate, you could even wax it. You can get rub on ski wax at a ski or snowboard shop, which would be the easiest. DON'T USE REGULAR WAX. Only use ski or snowboard wax or it will slow you way down.
