There is no such thing as an "easy" or "cheap" wind turbine. They are complex machines that require some serious engineering, costly materials, and lots of tool work to be successful. You can't just take some parts and build one. It has to be durable, efficient, and easy to maintain. Also, you have to have the right conditions; only a few places really have enough wind to produce useful amounts of energy. Solar electric systems are more feasible, and some additional ideas such as solar hot water, passive cooling, and improved shade, insulation, and exterior colors are much more workable. And in a period of prolonged time with calm winds, you can use firewood for heating, hot water and cooking and candles for light at night. This is why the government is have such a hard time convincing this country to go green - it cost MORE!

i understand ur interest on helping ur mom i also had the same idea, i told it to her, non interest all i had to do is trying to not waste a lot of electricity, but... u can me a mini solar panel with just 100 bucks for ur own use
