How to reduce spacing?

2000 square and spacing of 2 meters how much items will i plant?

  • I want to work out how much items would i plant if there was a piece of land 2000 square meters and the spacing to plant the crops is 2 meters , HOW much PLANTS will i plant in that 2000 square meters with that spacing of 2 meters. is there an online resource to do these calculations?

  • Answer:

2000 square meters is √2000 or 44.7 x 44.7 meters, assuming the plot is square. That means you can plant 23 x 23 plants or 529. Usually a square is the best solution, but not in this case. For example, a rectangle 20 x 100 will have an area of 2000 square meters, and that would give you 11 x 51 plants or a total of 561 how about 40 x 50, for plants that is 21 x 26 or 546 But I suspect you may mean 2000 meters square, which is totally different. That is a square 2000 meters on a side. That means 1001 x 10001 plants or 1002001 total. The extra one in each row or column is tricky. Consider a line 4 meters long and you need a post every 2 meters. The quick answer is 2 posts, but actually you need 3 posts. Draw it. But in neither case is that guaranteed to be the best packing. Packing theory is complicated. It may be that staggering the rows increases the density.
