Environmental Management versus Ecological Engineering?

Engineering Management vs Industrial Engineering?

  • Im currently doing Mechanical Engineering, and im starting to hate it, i dont like any of the classes, Fluid, themodynamics. Did fine in the core classes like Calc 1,2,3 Physics 1,2,3 (more like tolerated them and got decent grades, no Cs) I was always interested in finance and Business but wanted a more technical degree so i chose mechanical in hopes of using it a business/ finance environment. I took a economics class in college and i loved the class, got an A and did better than all the Econ/Business majors. Since then ive been thinking bout switching to Industrial or Engineering Management. I checked the salaries and Industrial is only a few hundred less then mechanical, but i cant find Engineering management (it comes under engineering technologies) what is the difference between Industrial engineering and Engineering management? My college has Engineering management but not Industrial engineering. I'm willing to transfer to a another college if Industrial is better. So whats the difference between Industrial engineering and Engineering management?

  • Answer:

Industrial engineering is more into ergonomics and management is the management of resources regarding engineering applications. Management is better than industrial engineering
