What is the scope of m tech in electronics?

M tech (robotics) after b tech (electronics and communication), scope?

  • Will it be a good idea to opt for robotics in postgraduation after b tech in electronics and communication. What will be its scope in india and abroad after 5 years?

  • Answer:

Depends what you want to do. I have a Masters in Mechatronics but I only did that because that's what I enjoy. If you what to do a significant amount of PCB design, coding and frustrating late nights then go for it, might not sound like fun but the high you get when everything comes together is just awesome. The job I have at the moment has very little to do with what I studied, I don't know what is like in other parts of the world, but here in NZ they look more at your references than what you did. Sure you have to be loosely associated with the field. "What will be its scope in india and abroad after 5 years": You're guess is as good as mine, robotics will be significant in my opinion but so will electronics and communication. Masters/ Bachelors after 2-3 years in a job means nothing. Masters is a lot of work, I personally found it the best year of my university career (I did Honours year then Masters by Thesis - about 140 pages), but it comes down to how much you enjoy the subject. If you are just doing it for job prospect, DON'T do it. Best of luck
