HI,Im Edwin.. Whats best for me between engineering technician or Mechanical engineering?

  • i wasnt really good in math in high school, so i was wondering is this right for me? I do wanna do it but will it be really hard for me? Which one is better for me or easier? Engineering Technician or Mechanical? PLEASE HELP

    Mechanical Engineering is a field which requires heavy math including: Advanced Calculus, Vector Integration, Complex Variables, Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, Harmonic Analysis, and Numerical Analysis. Mechanical Engineering has emphasis on theoretical aspects of Engineering than on the pratical. Engineering Technicians have more hands-on work, more on the pratical in the field aspects of engineering. For instance, Computer Aided Design and drafting Engineering designs. Maybe a little bit of computer programming. Building circuits. But the math is at a lower level than that of an Engineering degree. But, if you feel like a challenge, and can get some tutoring to improve your math skills, a degree in Mechanical Engineering is definitely more rewarding.

Easy? How old are you, 5? You want easy? Drop out now. Mechanical Engineering requires lots of math. Engineering Technician degree also requires math, but less (this depends on the school). Depending on WHY you didn't do well in math, you may not be suitable for college and a good technical school would be best. OTOH, don't be too quick to decide you are a failure at a subject. But, really, if you''re not willing to do some hard work, nothing is going to be best for you.
