Can't we create a super intelligent human species by genetic engineering ?

Whales have large brains. Are whales super intelligent in your opinion? Are people with larger brains than yours smarter than you? I think you need to learn a lot more about intelligence, the brain, and reality. You are waiting for a version of the universal cosmic mommy-daddy to solve our problems. Other people are waiting for advanced life forms from other galaxies. You are watching too much video entertainment and not getting enough education. Help stamp out vidiocy. dude it can be done surely our science is advanced enough, u see all the leaving tat alive to day are result of millions of years of evolution, nature has selected thm all if we are to jump in and alter to th way the product of tat alteration would de an anomaly as per the laws of nature whch will surely result is catastrophe unimaginable hence its better to leave nature wat she dose the best : )

You are right that creation of super intelligent human species is possible using genetic engineering, but it not that easy! and 1 more thing which you wrote "clones"... they will not be clones, because clone means a duplicate genetic copy, not a super intelligent human specie. As far as i know, research is going on & they've got success up to some extent. But there r lot of hurdles in this way, like mutations and growth factors of genes, as well as identifying the coding of genes is also a toughest and money consuming job.

Guess it could be done, Adolf tried it..... how long do you have in mind for this project? If the clones got too smart they wold take over and rule you inferior humans! Is apparent intelligence due to genetic processes or is it just that we are able to build on the knowledge of our predecessors

Well, the only stumbling block is that we haven't precisely cracked the human genome to the required degree of manipulation. Talk about the bio-chip to envision super-fast computers. Though we have done and achieved this super-sentience - LOL, in movies only

Present technology can produce above average humans most of the time, but we are not close to super intelligence. Perhaps in the far future, but it may be a mistake to meddle. Not everything that can be done is prudent. Neil

Much of what you want to accomplish can't be done just with a very smart person. There are the laws of physics and economics that come into play. They will limit much of what you are thinking about.
