Whats the different between 'electronic and computer system engineering' and 'computer system engineering'?

whats the different between them? I am interested in something like making an electronic gadget and program it using the computer or something along that line.. is this the right course?

'electronic and computer system engineering' In most schools this means you learn how to design and program computers 'computer system engineering' In most schools this means you learn how to program computers. However, definitions vary school to school. Vheck each school's web site carefully before enrolling. Ask them questions. As for the person who said the former is mainly analog appears to be vague on the subject. Electronics can be analog or digital. I design digital signal processors with analog inputs and outputs. Most electronics people today do both analog and digital.
