Should I switch to an easier class? Or stick it out? Please please help!?

So I'm a high school junior, and I've always been really good at math. I have a 4.0 GPA and I've been in honors math classes since, well kindergarten technically. I'm going to college through a program at my school. I took a placement test, and placed into Calculus. I've only taken classes through trig, i skipped pre-calc. I talked to my teacher about going directly to Calculus, and she said that for the first two Calc classes I'd be fine. She said I could take pre-calc if I want to, but I don't need to. Well I had my first day of class today, and the teacher is somewhat unclear. He jumped right into it and expected us all to remember everything. I've forgotten a lot of what I learned, and I'm trudging my way through the 43 problems assigned for today. I can do them, even if it takes me a second. So my problem is that I'm worried the teacher will go too fast and I won't be able to keep up. I think I can do the homework, but I'm scared of the tests. I'm worried we'll get into stuff and I'll have forgotten what I learned last year and I'll struggle and fall behind. I can switch into a precalculus class. My schedule right now is History from 9:10-10:10 Calc 10:20-11:20 Eng 11:30 to 12:30. If I switch I'll have pre-calc from 12:40-1:40, and have a huge chunk of time in the middle. The campus is a bit of a commute so the time would be very inconvenient. I really don't know what to do. I don't know if I'll get better in my Calc class or not. And I have plenty of resources to help me. My best friend is in the class with me, and she took pre-calc but only a bit of trig, so she knows more of what's going on. My dad is good at math, I have my old high school teachers, and there is a tutor center at my school. Should I stick it out, or should I switch while I can? I really hate the crappy timing of the pre-calc class, and I'm going to take calculus eventually anyway. Please people, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:
Stick with it, do homework with your friend, and don't be afraid to ask help from the professor or tutors. I bet that your dad would help as well. The math book may be a great resource for examples, and I recommend Schaum's Outline for calculus, which is a great reference, as it solves hundreds of problems. I relied heavily on Schaum's during my years in engineering school..... http://www.amazon.com/Schaums-Outline-Calculus-Elliott-Mendelson/dp/0070419736/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1222136641&sr=1-3 You'll be up to speed in no time!
