Chemical and Mechanical Engineering help?

Help learning Statics for Mechanical Engineering!?

  • I'm a mechanical engineering student and i've been having a really hard time understanding and solving statics problems. I'm looking to see if anyone has found any resources that have helped them learn this subject or understand it better. I find myself banging my head on my book with the amount of time I've spent so far trying to learn this but it's just not clicking. Are there any online videos or tutorials that might be helpful? I'd appreciate any kind of help with this. I feel like I'm the only one not getting this subject everyone else makes it out like it's so easy. I didn't have a problem with physics or chemistry or calculus but this one is a killer.

I've had a lot of engineering teachers that are pretty horrible in lecture but are great when one on one. Also their are probably study groups or tutoring you can go to. I don't wish to sound mean but statics IS very easy and you really shouldn't have any trouble especially if your not struggling through physics. statics is really as simplified but focused area of physics. Everything you do in that class is not moving so the only equations you need are sum of the forces equal to zero and sum of the moments equals to zero. Dynamics is a much bigger pain in the ***
