What are the non-technical things a civil engineer can do?

What are some things to do to help become a music engineer?

  • I want to me a music producer, or engineer. Work with music, behind the scenes and witht hose giant production rooms with all the crazy buttons. What are some things I can do to help me get a head start? I can read music, and play guitar. What elese might help me?? Thanks

  • Answer:

I'm no sound engineer myself, but have done a few things in the past and have friends who are doing music/music technology. When I was about 14/15 my and some mates did some home recording which is a good way to start, learning bits out for yourself etc - getting used to various softwares. You will want to think about taking music technology at A level, possibly music, and other related subjects. My mate doing music technology has quite a bit of experience with live recordings out and about, also at home so you may want to think about getting some work experience with a sound engineer in the summer, or even in a studio. As for anything else, you just have to have the thurst to do it and drive. Getting around and knowing people will be a big step to becoming one of these people you speak of.
