Who is Nikola Tesla?

Do You Know Who Nikola Tesla Is?

  • Do you see a lightbulb in your house? Do you see your computer? Ever thought of what makes those things run? Of course you did! At least I hope so. Do you know who made all of these wonderful things we have today work? Of coure you don't! You think Thomas Edison made everything Earth revolvs around. I bet you're even bored when you're reading this! Alternating Current, the type of electricity that is running throughout the world today, was invented by the forgotton genius, Nikola Tesla, as well as many other marvelous things. I'm not worshiping him because he is Serbian like I, but I'm worshiping him for his care about nature and humanity. Now my question is did YOU know who he was before you read this? =]

  • Answer:

Of course and to add one more to the puzzle you forgot to add. Tesla also worked for Thomas Edison too. Many of his inventions, Mr. Edison took credit for Tesla designed. Did you know that Tesla coil was designed as a marketing tool to attract people to his booth at fairs he went too around the country to help promote his inventions? I use this same idea in my marketing adventures with shows I go to in the Security Shows. So not only was he a Genius, but clever as well. Unfortunately he was penniless when he died. He had too much trust in people that took advantage of him. His love was to design and invent, but he had no business common sense.

Yes. He was one of my boyhood heroes. And don't forget the AND gate. Your computer wouldn't work without it. And he patented that. Or radio. Marconi had to get a license to use 17 of Tesla's patents in order to broadcast. RC hobbyists are always stunned to find out their hobby was invented by Tesla (with a remote controlled submarine, or all things.) He was THE man of the 21st Century, and he does not get nearly enough credit. I'm with you. Spread the word.

Sure, I learned about him in my first semester of basic electronics. He was a Serbian who moved to the US; became a citizen and did much field breaking work in electromagnetism. Why do you ask?

Yes I did. Here is a quote from Tesla. "If Edison had a needle to find in a haystack, he would proceed at once with the diligence of the bee to examine straw after straw until he found the object of his search. I was a sorry witness of such doings, knowing that a little theory and calculation would have saved him ninety per cent of his labor" P.S. I heard the patent for radio was reversed and granted to Tesla.

Naravno da sam znala ko je Nikola Tesla. You bet I knew of Nikola Tesla. I'm Serbian, just like you are, so we learned a lot about him at school. Too bad not many people heard of him beside Serbians and Croats. So, now you can add me as one more person to know of our greatest scientist.
