The best classes to take for Agricultural Engineering?

What classes should I take at junior college if I want to transfer to four year and major in engineering?

  • I am almost done with my third semester. My problem is I am not sure if it is too late for me to approach this major as I really haven't taken anything for this major. I want to go to a four year school when I'm done here. I didn't really know what I wanted to do but now I am really considering majoring in Chemical/Petroleum or nuclear engineering . Maybe Aerospace engineering but I want to do engineering. What do you think? I can try to take chemistry and physics during my last two semester along with calc. I'm worried though it might be too late. It's gonna take me 5 semesters to graduate.

  • Answer:

Go to MIT web site. Look at the free online classes offered there. Find two or three classes you would like to take because they really interest you. See if you can figure out what sort of preliminary courses or knowledge you need. Take a class that way if so inclined. These courses don't pull punches. They are the real thing. Math is the language of engineering. The more kinds of math you can do in your sleep or in your head the easier things will be.

My degree plan consists of 1 semester Chemistry, 4 semesters calculus (cal 1, cal 2, differential equations and vector calculus), 2 semesters of physics (1&2), statics, dynamics, mechanics of solids, engineering computation, intro to aerospace, an English, and a communication class. And that's just the first 2 years, only counting basic sequence classes
