How is Hebrew similar to Arabic?

Which language is similar to Arabic... Farsi or Hebrew?

  • I know that Farsi alphabet is the same as Arabic alphabet.... But in the pronunciation, the grammar, the vocabulary which of these two languages are similar to Arabic AND which one is easier ? (Farsi or Hebrew) ? Coz I know Arabic so I guess It'll be easy for me to learn one of these two languages.... NEED YOUR HELPPP! =D

  • Answer:

As an Arab, Hebrew would be easier for you than Persian Once you hear the Hebrew word and its meaning in Arabic it will stuck in your mind because there are a lot of the same vocabulary between Arabic and Hebrew but sometimes the pronunciation is different or you can find only one letter is different the grammar is very closed to Arabic, and they use the roots of the words like in KATABA YAKTUBU TAKTUBU... etc the letters are very easy it's not an issue Persian is easy for Arab because we already know how to read and write, you only need to know the three or four extra letters in Persian which are not included in Arabic and you still can find some words are the same in Arabic but i think in Hebrew it's much more So I think it's better to start with Hebrew then you go for Persian as you already know the letters I would like to learn both Hebrew and Persian

Hebrew, as it also belongs to the group of Semitic languages, a branch of the Afroasiatic language family. Farsi/Persian belongs to the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European languages.
