Trying to describe the terms Japanese people used to describe Burakumin. Would like to say that they called them Eta and then go on to explain what eta means in English. Struggling with the constriction X called Y : Z. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Answer:
日本人は部落民をよく「穢多」と呼んでいた。 Japanese language don't use "space" unlike European languages. by the way, modern Japanese never use the word " eta" and burakumin is also discrimination term. this word can not say at TV show.
