In your case I definitely recommend thinking in Spanish even if it is for just 20 minutes a day. That way you are not losing what you already know and moreover words that you don´t know while thinking encourages you to look it up in the dictionary and you will remember the new word easier as you applied in in your thoughts. That´s what helped me learning English. Reading any spanish text also helps because during the time you read you are actually thinking in Spanish in order to follow the text. I try to read at least 30 minutes of any English text so I don´t lose it as I am not living in an english speaking country. At the same time reading builds my vocabulary.

Spend a couple of weeks in mexico city because the spanish thaught here is completely different from the spanish spoken in mexico. I remember i took my white friend to durango and he spoke sort of good spanish but not the mexican spanish (with lots of cusswords and words that don't exist), long story short my family thought he was gay because he spoke "nice spanish"

spanish is very simple to learn. there are many programs. or find a spanish speaker to help you. my spanish is very poor I learned very early and I don't speak it. good luck
