How do you say these words?
-
Okay, how do you say these words (include what region of the US or wherever you live). I'm trying to figure out regional differences in speech. I'm from the South (Texas). Syrup. I say SEER-rup. Most people here say SUR-rup. Crayons. I say crowns. ( I know that's not really how you say it but I've said it that way since I was little. It just kind of stuck) Also, do you eat maple or corn syrup? We have corn. Detroit. We say DEE-troit. I've met people from there who say Duh-TROIT. and finally Florida. We say FLOR-duh. So how do YOU say them?
