How to become a foreign language teacher?

I want to become a foreign language teacher. Which Languages should I teach?

  • I am very interested when it comes to learning foreign languages. I already know how to speak Spanish. I am also learning on how to speak French, Italian, German, and Dutch. I really want to go to college and reach my goals, but to become a foreign language teacher, do I have to know all of the foreign languages including difficult languages like Russian?

    Most of the time language teachers for higher secondary education are expected to specialize in one language family like for example Romance Languages, Germanic Languages or Slavic Languages, and to know at least two languages in their chosen language family.

I would say Arabic , Hindi , French , Spanish and German. All of these languages have some good demand around the world, especially in the Middle-East.Chinese is difficult to learn I Guess,

No you don't, each teaching has it's own language. Since you know Spanish that's one language you know.

You will have better luck with less commonly taugh languages, like Korean.

Whatever language you enjoy the most. Teaching what you are passionate about is easier than teaching what you're not.

You can't possibly be expected to know all languages! Do you know how many different ones there are in the world? Hundreds! Just concentrate on two languages, learn them well and then go for it.
