Who can tell me the least expensive foreign exchange program?

What can you tell me about the international exchange program?

  • Has anyone ever been apart of a highschool exchange program? Please only answer if you have knowledge about this. How was your interviews? Is it hard to be accepted? How was the year abroad experience? How long did it take to learn the language? What were the pros and cons of the trip? What do you hope to do in the future with this?

  • Answer:

School Year Aborad. Best year of my life. Each year, they send 60 or so high school juniors and seniors to France, Spain, Italy, and China. It is a program sponsored by some of the finest private high schools in the US, so it is academically rigorous, but enrollment is not limited to students from those schools. You go to school together, and live with native host families. Most of your teachers are locals, english and math teachers apply to the program as well, and you take trips all over the country with the school and you have some time to travel on your own as well. I never used a highschool exchange program, but I can tell you , the faster way to learn a language is to live at least one year with native people. Because I used to live in USA to learn english as a pair-girl a few years ago. If you really need informations about exchange program, you can go on www.ef.com , it's about students who want to learn different languages in different countries.
