How can i learn tamil language very fast?i am interested in it?

Try for getting seat in IIT madras......u cant learn until u stay in tamilnadu...

You can learn tamil language very easily with 3 months , many celebrities who come various parts of india , have mastered that quick.y , i say tamil is easiest language anybody master in short time , so on that note , first start listening to tamil news , here i never recommend tamil news paper because you get bored easily , so for interactive learning , start by watching tamil news , don't worry you doesn't understand that , just listen to their speech , lip movement , phonetic tone , and try to speak like that some of the words , slowly gradually you can speak easily , also i recommend you to buy a book called " how to master tamil within 30 days " in book stores , which helps you very much . Hai Harri, I'm happy about it. you could learn tamil easily, w.r.t understanding and speaking. I don't know how far it helps through books and websites practically. Practically speaking, you can learn to understand tamil by watching tamil movies with sub titles. Cos it teaches you the colocial language. If you go for websites and books it teachs you the classical aspect of the language, which we don't use while speaking normally. It's also tough. For speaking, not only tamil, for that matter any language, can be made fluent only if you start talking with someone who knows tamil. Otherwise you don't get the fluency. If you need to know the meaning of any words, or any help with regard to that, you text me! You're most welcome!!

So you like tamil. Well according to me tamil is not so easy to to learn . But it is very easy after you learn it. Tamil is basic language or the combustions of malayalam and kannada languages. It is one of the oldest language after the sanskrit language. Since you are interested you can learn it. You will get books of tamil learning books in the markets . You can buy it . Im from Tamilnadu.. Tamil language is difficult.. even v find it difficult to learn it as a subject in school n colleges.. but it seems ur very interested in it.. so u can learn it easily.. like otheR lang, u can find articles for tamil in net.. jus google it.. but it surely takes a lot of time to learn :)) anyways my best wishes

hai harika! i wanna appreciate Dheepta's answer ! she has given a gr8 answer to ur qn..... yes. learning any indian language is easy if u see tamil films with sub titles! it teaches u the easy n the colloquial way of talkin tamil.. i did the same thing when i wanted to learn telugu ....... i saw few films n i was able to talk n understand basic telugu within a week.. but now i am not in touch bcos i learnt it b4 6 months n now i hav lost the touch. THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT. IF u start learnin, u must try to b in regular touch... ONE MORE WAY OF LEARNING IS.... TO TALK TO A TAMIL PERSON..... MAY B........ MYSELF! I SHALL HELP U! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS WAY OF LEARNING!
