Brits, do you all think twice when you hear an American accent?

In the street think twice. On T.V. films never think twice.

We don't generally get Americans round where I live, but oddly enough, an American man served me today, in the chemist's. He even called me "Ma'am" which seemed strange (nice though) and he was very polite.

I live in Barcelona and there are many American students and tourists here. When I hear them I usually just think shut the f*ck up. The majority of them have such loud voices, especially on public transport and are often talking shite.

absolutely. sometimes their accent is so difficult to understand that after half an hour of american movie i have to switch it off because i have a headache

i love accents, there are alot of differances in american accents, ( some i just cant understand) some sound quite british or even australian to me, i adore irish accents, mmmmm

Yes I do, I think its because Amercians have a cuter accent. Like when you say Ma'am, it's so polite. Also the way you guys have a different way of saying words to us. (alluminiun and sea-bouy for example) I watch a lot of Amercian T.V, but it's definatly better to hear it in real life!

Yes not only do I think twice - I pay more attention to it as well!
