French help?!?! imparfait and passe compose?
-
can anyone give me ten sentences in the imparfait or passe compose (all about the same thing) like ten sentences about the time you went to the zoo or something thanks a lot

Answer:
I will give you one of each and explain the difference. The passé composé is used for activities that happened once in the past or that are part of a series of steps or movements that happened at a particular time. An example is: Je suis allé(e) au zoo. = I went to the zoo. The passé composé is, of course, made up of two parts: the helping verb (avoir or être) plus the past participle. If "être" is used as the helping verb, the past participle must be made to agree with the subject. The imparfait is used to describe activities in the past that occured frequently or are ongoing. For example: J'allais au zoo. = I was going to the zoo. OR I used to go to the zoo. The imperfect is constructed by taking the present tense "nous" form of the verb (e.g. nous "allons"), removing the "ons" ending to get the imperfect stem (e.g. "all"), and then adding the endings "ais, ais, ait, ions, iez, aient". For more information on the passé composé vs. the imperfect, see link below. (Incidentally, I am a college French professor. And while I see nothing wrong with asking others to check over your work once completed, I would urge against asking other people to do your homework for you. For one thing, if you copy sentences written by a native speaker or an advanced student, your teacher will know the difference and will give you an F on the assignment, which is certainly something you're trying to avoid!) Best of luck!

Is this how kids are doing their homework today? They get someone else to do it for them. Je suis desole mais je pense que vous devrait faire vos devoirs vous meme.

"give a man a fish, he eats for a day. teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime." old chinese proverb do your own work and you won't forget and can use the knowledge later. have someone do it for you and you'll not be able to complete the task later. NV girl: C'est bien. Je pense que vous etes en pointe.

Je ne connais pas l'imparfait, mais comme passe' compose', je vous propose: "J'ai vu les animaux au zoo."

You are very lazy. I agree with the others who said to do your homework by yourself. If you simply don't understand it, ask for help, but don't try and get people to do it for you. Plus, the assignment you described is not that hard. For a native english speaker, I understand, it can be difficult at first, differentiating between when to use the passé composé and l'imparfait, but you'll get it with practice.
