When using Harvard Referencing?

Can you use footnotes when using the Harvard Referencing system?

  • Hi, I have been referencing for my uni essays using the Harvard referencing system, but I have just found out that most people reference in the text as opposed to in footnotes, whereas I do use footnotes. Am I wrong in doing so?

    The Harvard system does use footnotes, inserted at the bottom of the page it this format: Surname, initial., (date), title of book, place of publication, publisher. page number. Title of book is italicised
