How do I properly bread my corn dog?

Childhood audiobook in 1960s about little red hen - who will help me make the bread - i wont, i wont i wont?

  • i think it was first done in the 1940s. it didnt actually have a book & the phrase was "Who will help me plant the corn?" "Who will help me grow the corn?" "Who will help me eat the bread? Answer would be the dog said "I wont, " the cow said "I wont", the pig said "I wont", the duck said "I wont". Always the same answer until she asks about eating the final product when the animals say "I will". Other versions say "Not I" but the one I am after specifically says "I will" or "I wont".

You might contact the Kiddie Rekord King to see if he can help you: http://www.kiddierekordking.com/ Do you recall whether it was one story that stood alone, or was it part of a set of stories on a record? If you know whether it was on a 78, 33, or 45 speed, that would probably help him out. Good luck -- hope you are able to find it!

The Little Red Hen http://www.rocknlearn.com/html/rnr_hen_big.htm "Who will help me plant the wheat?", said the Little Red Hen. "Not, I.", said the cow. "Not, I.",said the cat. "Not, I."said the dog. "Fine then, I will do it myself." said the Little Red Hen. "Who will help me eat the bread?" (I will I will I will said the cow the cat and dog.........) No No said the Little Red Hen. You did not help me thresh the wheat, you did not help me make the flour, you did not help me bake the dough............ so you can't have any bread!
