Generally the quote is saying to forget living in the past, but don't forget your memories, forget about whats going to come in the future, but to be prepared for the future and to live in the moment. Yes, you can go back live in the past a little bit, but too much will leave you falling behind in life. Yes, you can go ahead and live in the future, but too much will make you worried when it comes.
