How to find the author of a quote?

I have a quote and don't know who the author is. How can I find the author without searching tons of authors?

  • Answer:

    Buy a book called "The Penguin Dictionary of Quotations", or another comparable one. You can look up key words, or browse under the authors.

Use a search engine and put your quote in ... well ... quotes.

sometimes if you type in part of the quote on the yahoo search area it'll come up .
