Why is the IV passed in the clear when it can be easily encrypted?

Maybe someone who understands IV's better then me can tell me whats going on.?

  • I am breeding a pokemon for IV's. Both parents have IV's in all stats in the upper 20's or 30-31 except in the one stat I don't care about. Now literally EVERY egg I have hatched have had generally the same IV's passed on in thge same places. But in two of the stats where I you get the 3 that are random, not passed on from either parent they are all single digit. This has been the case with literally the last 90 eggs in the same stats literally every time. I can understand a bad run but this is ridiculous to the point of being stupid. Having happened this man times in a row. And the IV's of BOTH parents where I keep getting these single digit IV's in the offspring are both in the upper 20's so this should not be happening. What the **** is going on? I am actually considering having someone pokesav me one with the IV's the offspring should be getting based on the parents I am using. I despise myself for this moment of weakness but I am pissed. I have NEVER had a run this bad. Any answers with links or any answers that do not answer my question as to why this keeps happening will be reported.

  • Answer:

It's because of the RNG in the game. The RNG is very annoying in the game, it's not even really a real RNG. It advances every 125 steps or so depending on the number of Pokemon in your party, when you put a Pokemon from your PC to your Party, and more. Depending on key factors like your Mac Address, Secret ID, ID, time, and date, when you boot up your game, you're kinda "destined" to see certain Pokemon depedning how you advance the RNG in your game, but it's pretty much almost always different depending on the time and date you boot up the game, even to the second. This is the reason some people have restorted to RNG Abusing, and sometimes Pokesaving just because it's easier than RNG Abusing. It could take even a MONTH just to get what you want. I've one time been hatching over a month of Aerodactyl eggs until I got the desired IVs. Then I read up on the RNG in the game. Most players won't even care if you get someone to Pokesav you a Pokemon and you use it, as long as it's not anything too illegal. Smogon has a better explaination to the RNG, my explaination isn't as good as theirs, but somewhat similar. If you read it up on smogon, you'll also gain the knowledge to RNG Abuse, also increasing one's knowledge of how the RNG works, and an understanding of why people RNG Abuse. Here's the link to smogon's: http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/ a few times it said that the page doesn't exist whenever I clicked on the hyperlink, a solution to that is to either google it or just go to smogon's main page, click in-game, then click RNG Mechanics, and you'll be there.
