What's a good Pokemon Leaf Green Team?

Best team to get early on? [POKEMON]

• i finally found my Leaf Green version and thought i'd get it another go. but it seems to me that, i can never find a good team to play through the beginning 5-6 gyms with. whats a good Pokemon choice balance to have? (on my current file, im at the 4th gym, and i have Wartortle, Pigiotto, Graveler, Kadabra, Pikachu, and Bellsprout. which doesn't seem to be working all that great.) thanks in advance

  It would probably be better to just start over and pick charmander. The first 2 gyms might be hard, but it get's easier. It's good to stick with pidgeotto. Later on you'll be able to catch the legendary birds. Zapdos with make a great replacement for pikachu. Articuno or vaporeon for wartortle. P.S. if u ever have trouble against the Elite 4, Store all of your items in the pc and keep fighting them to raise your pokemon. And if your get money from beating the first or second, buy full restores or high potions or revives. don't listen to that other guy.
