What are you guys doing being the game?

In your guys' opinion what is the best Pokemon game?

  • I know Pokemon games are really popular but I honestly never saw the allure to them. So I'm thinking about seeing what the fuss is all about and trying it for myself but I wanna try the best one first so I can get the best experience out of it. So what do you guys think is the best Pokemon game to date?

    Well pokemon black and white are the best games since they added alot of stuff to old things but i like heartgold/soulsilver but if they had black and whites features then i would like it even more but black and white is the best out right now

Personally my favourite game out of the whole series is Leaf Green/Firered. First off they involve the longest story, with the game continuing a fair amount after you beat the pokemon league. Second, the pacing in the game is probably the best out of any, you never feel like you're way too powerful, nor at any time do you feel way too weak. I found that playing Heartgold I was about 20 levels higher than anyone I fought in-game, and then randomly I'd hit a gym leader 10 levels higher than me. The pacing was awful. My next point is based entirely on personal experience more than anything, but I am a serious die-hard pokemon fan, not even kidding. I'd replayed each game more times than I can remember, I have a fairly in-depth knowledge behind the game mechanics, hidden values all that sort of stuff. Basically, I really enjoy pokemon, but I got so, so bored playing Black and White. I literally found myself getting little-to-no enjoyment out of them whatsoever, I ended up trading them in. Like I said, I've replayed all the games over and over again, and enjoy them a lot each time, but I found Black/White so unbearably boring I couldn't even play through it once. Another good thing about this game compared to the newer ones is that it only introduces the first 151 pokemon, rather than suddenly swamping you with all 600 or so of them at once, so for a first time player this game would probably appeal to you a little more than the others. Also, the original pokemon were mostly pretty balanced. I was looking over the base stats of the newest set of pokemon, and it seems like every other one has some stat that is wildly high, which just makes it ridiculous. And then the odd one was just all round terrible, the pokemon aren't as balanced basically. Finally, this game doesn't try to impress you with amazing, flashy graphics, or dump 100's of pokemon on to you, all it does is present to you a slightly more up to date and aesthetically pleasing version of the original games that started the entire fad off, and made so many of us fans of the series.

Pokemon Black or White is the best to date. They have the best graphics, and the most pokemon. I think it was a very good game!
