Will flight simulator work on my pc?

Hi! I'm planning to purchase Microsoft Flight Simulator X. But will it work smoothly on my PC?

    You'll lack some of the graphics. I am looking to get it as well, I want it for the helicopter simulations and even looking at getting the dual joystick set up for helicopters. I beefed up my machine to handle the software and am worried some if I have enough. I am running 3ghz P4, 1.5gig Ram, 512k Graphics. Since you can't change your processor out cheaply.....I'd look into a new graphics card if not another rack of 1gig of ram. You should be able to get good on both for bout $100 a piece.

My system is similar to yours except I have a Radeon X800 XT with 2 Gb of ram and I have yet to finish one event in the game. The planes don't crash, the game does. I suspect that it has something to do with the video card. Anyway, the game doesn't appear to have been tested very well so wait til they fix it because now it's a peice of crap. I even upgraded my memory from 1 Gb to 2 and it still won't work. A frustrating PIECE OF CRAP
