How do you get your friend code in animal crossing wild world?

I cannot get my friend code on animal crossing wild world!?!?

• I have pretty much tried everything to get my friend code, but it won't work! I've tried to go to my Ds' settings, but I don't know what any of the codes are! I tried to change my ds' WIFI settings, but it says that there's an error code. I tried going to Copper and getting my code, but it will NOT work. I also went on the main menu and hit other things and WIFI settings, but when I answered yes for them to connection me to Nintendo WFIC or whatever, the screen always goes black! Help!

  Do you own Action Replay? If you do, the Wi-Fi settings will not work unless you take the Action Replay out of your game cartridge slot. What error code appears when you try to get your friend code? Sorry, I can't help you unless you tell me the error code you are keep receiving when trying to connect to Nintendo Wi-FI.
