What exactly is a bad egg in Pokemon?

Pokemon Black: Is this a "bad egg"?

  • Hi there. (: I used Pokestation Database to hack a few event pokemon or something, and I'm not sure what they are, but I now have six eggs, all with the same thing: A quite mysterious Pokemon Eggs that was obtained in ________________. "The Egg Watch": It looks like the egg will take a long time to hatch. Is this a bad egg? Or is it just a normal event pokemon egg? I have no idea, and I'm terrified to lose my game, so I've left them in my PC. Please help! ._. I have not used PokeGen or GameShark or AR or anything, just that site.

  • Answer:

If it hatches. The game will be erased. It is a virus

Yup, that's a Bad Egg. In the previous gens it would actually say the name: Bad Egg though. In 5th Gen I'm pretty sure you just have to check the sumarry. From what I can tell it seems like a Bad Egg. After all, Bad Eggs have the description "This looks like it'll take a long time to hatch". Otherwise it might hatch into a Bad Egg. You gotta be careful on what you're doing/downloading. From what I recall Pokestation allows you to download event Pokemon from the GTS. Have you hacked or modified the Pokemon's stats in any way?
