How to get more votes for competion?

How do people get so many votes for them in Facebook contests?

  • Wow, winning a contest is tough. My silent movie got up to 2nd place trying to win new kitchen appliances. But someone joined a couple days ago and now has more votes than I've gotten in a week and I'm down to fourth. And the guy in first keeps piling on the votes. I've asked for help on vote swapping sites and I've been returning votes as soon as possible. That helped a bit. But I just don't see how people can get 40 or 50 or more votes in a day, day after day. I also tried Facebook emailing about a hundred of my 'friends' and my guess is under ten responded. I won't do that again. We're redoing our kitchen, and these appliances would really help with the budget. I made a funny movie http://on.fb.me/voteformysilentfilm for the contest. (But people don't have to watch to vote, and unfortunately many people had trouble getting the video to play.) It's a daily entry through October. People have to like the page, and then my movie "Produced: Thomas" should be there to "Cast Your Vote." If it's not, clicking Most Loved, and it should show up. Thanks so much! Any tips on how to get to #1 are welcome.

    I guess people like the other stuff better? perhaps they might be cheating, but who knows.
