I am having a halloween party for adults, any ideas in how to make it fun?

You could consider a Halloween themed treasure hunt. Planning is a good idea - if they have a good sense of humor, ask everyone to see Paranormal Activity before coming at some point. Then at least you have everyone with something in common to start with, food fun and games - costumes??

Last halloween i went to a themed party .. "seven deadly shots". It was so much fun! Every half hour a new batch of shots came out; here are some examples: Envy - Washington apple Gluttony - Chocolate cake Lust - Red headed slut Greed - Money shot Sloth - Jello shot Of course, you can tweak them to your own liking. But it was so much fun! And a great excuse to try those fancy shots you'd never order in a bar :)

Make it clothing optional. I have been to some great parties like that. Get the instructions on how to build a beer bong. Have a couple of those ready. A kegger of course. Hire some shitty college band to play. Now you got booze, nudity, rock music, and some kentucky bluegrass of course.

fire works. sparklers. scary movies!! loud horror stories on 'classic' cassettes/ ibooks. horror games on console. your place has to look cool scary not trash scary. innovative and smart costumes only, no dumb trash.. ( : we need the fun, bright sort!. You should be the great count dracula.

that's my age group and we are just as immature as teens if you add alcohol so just do anything it won't matter. They will be drunk anyway and laugh or puke at everything.
