Why does my PSP turn off by itself?

  • My psp turns on for 5 secs then cuts off. Its not the battery because I have tried several different ones. It wont even go to the XMB any more. The green light flashes on, then cuts off 5 secs later.

    Sorry but I think that PSP is done. Gaming devices do have malfunctions. If something is wrong and it is defective, if you still have a warranty or something go take it back. If you don't then go to where you bought it from or another gaming store and see what's up, see what you can do. Playstations burn out. Your PSP might have burned out. Not entirely sure though. You're better off going somewhere to get it looked at. Hope this helps, good luck

one of your power compasators or fuses is blown inside, its a quick fix with a sauter gun

it might be internal damage. you could try to open it up and look for a solution. if not then toss that sucker into the microwave and buy a new one

Try holding the power button/slider for like 10 sec and see what happens. I don't think this will help much though.

try plugging it in to the charger and then turn it on using that power source

ok that first guy is weird and it is probably because of it falling to much or its a psp 1000 and needs refreshing

hmmm...it may be because its old or has been treated badly idk. my psp got submerged in coffe, so i had to spry down some stuff because it wouldnt open so i could put games ...wat a bad memory XD
