• Ok, so in my school we're having a fundraiser pokemon tournament. The rules are that levels are capped at Level 60, No legendary Pokemon, No Items are able to be used, nor held. This is the format as it says in the paper: 1.) Round Robin, where teams of two Pokemon will be used to battle everyone in their group to determine their placement in the second round 2.) Direct Eliminations, where teams of four Pokemon will compete and the winner advances. 3.) Semifinalists and on will compete with a full team of six to decide who reigns supreme as Pokemon Champion. Here's my team so far: Blaziken, Level 57 Moves: Flamethrower, Blaze Kick, Fire Blast, Double Kick Mightyena, Level 56 Moves: Bite, Thief, Strength, Crunch Gyarados, Level 56 Moves: Surf, Dive, Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam Manectric, Level 56 Moves: Spark, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Bite Aggron, Level 56 Moves: Iron Tail, Metal Claw, Metal Sound, Earthquake Salamence, Level 56 Moves: Dragonbreath, Dragon Claw, Fly, Aerial Ace Which Pokemons do you think I should use for first round (Only Two Pokemons), and second round (Only Four Pokemons)? OR any suggestions for better moves for my pokemons? Any help will be appreciated. Oh and by the way I have a Pokemon Emerald, and I'm going against any Generation III games such as: Fire Red, Leaf Green, Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald.

  as for the double team round I like to pair my team and have a good amount of attack strength coming from both pokemon you're best bet is to use a pokemon that knows an attack that does damage to all pokemon on the field. Using moves like surf and earthquake is very good. The first pokemon i would choose would be Aggron because with the right partner you can make a lot of damage on the opponent and not as much to your team, surf however damages your teammate too. Since i would use Aggron, i would not use Blaziken or Manectric since earthquake could K-O them. I would probably then choose Salamance since it has the ability ti negate all ground attacks, thus saving you from earthquake. Also salamance's fly attack can save you one turn which can help you keep HP and attack grass or bug pokemon more effectively.I do recommend teaching salamance if it can learn, to use extremespeed which is crucial at last minute attacks, Dragon rage is another good move since it can attack very strongly but it does have a few consequences like dizziness or it doesn't work. I recommend that you try and use pokemon that can learn more than one type of attacks for example Instead os salamance use Charizard who can use both fire and dragon attacks. As for the second round that uses 4 Pokemon stick with Aggron and Salamance but now you need more diversity in the team. Now you have 2 so as for the third one i would use Gyrados not on;ly is it a dragon type but it is aslo a water types so it is twice as useful. Gyrados's Dive is like fly it saves you one turn and inflicts damage and like earthquake, surf does all field damage and as long as you don't use Aggron and Gyrados together because a surf attack could wipe out aggron too. My final choice for the second round would be Blaziken. Blaziken has a very good HP and strength that can really help in battle. Attacks like fire blast and flamethrower can do serious damage as well. I recommend that you teach attacks at a higher level to some of the pokemon if you plan to use them visitng the move tutor can really shoe you some moves that can have a lot of potential. One move i enforce that should be taught to Aggron is Protect it is helpful if you plan to use surf. Also one type of pokemon that could really benefit your whole team is a nice grasstype like sceptile or venasaur.
