How to catch Pokemon easier? ( Pokemon platinum 0?

  • i want to catch the legendary pokemon Azelf but even wih 1 hp and sleeping i cant catch it. ( i already used my master ball ) what ball can i use to catch them?

    Azelf is a pain. I've only managed to catch it once in four save files, and I rate myself as good at catching Pokémon. As soon as you go into battle, chuck a quick ball at it. Sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you're not, after the first turn, don't use the quick ball gain, it's most powerful on first turn. If you've previously caught Uxie, it's pretty useful here, since it can Yawn, if not Budew learns Sleep Powder (don't battle it whilst you're still Budew though, you want a Roserade. You'll probably also want a Pokemon that knows the move 'False Swipe'. The TM can be bought from the department store in Veilstone. So keep False Swiping until you're on 1 HP and sleep. DO NOT use any moves that have even the slightest chance of confusing/burning/poisoning. If it took you a LONG time to get to this point, chuck Timer Balls at it. If not, throw Dusk Balls. You can buy dusk balls and quick balls from Pastoria, timer balls can only be obtained by doing jobs for the newspaper man or the Pokemon League. If all else fails, throw Ultra Balls and hope you get lucky. If you're not dying to catch it, you can always just defeat it and it'll still register in the Pokédex.

In order to catch pokemon easily, you must vigorously shake your gameboy so that the main circuitry completely falls apart. I've done it, it works.

well there are a couple things you can do. first u have to go into the battle with 30+ ultra balls, great balls, and pokeballs. keep in mind that azelf's catch rate is 3 so it will be tough no matter what. anyway, once u battle it put it to sleep, then u must do a sequence of ultra to great to poke balls. for example, what i do is i will throw and ultra ball until i get 1 or more jiggles, then i throw a great ball and a poke ball after in that order. then the next few ultra balls normally work. but to do it in this sequence u need to recognize the droughts, where there are no jiggles in the ultras for more than 3 or 4 throws. then u throw in the sequence of ultra->great->poke until u get 2+ jiggles then u restart the cycle. idk if this actually works but thats wat i do and ive beaten and OWNED all pokemon games. O yea and dusk ball are found right before u get into the elite four rooms, there is a mart and a healing center at the mart there are two people and one will sell dusk, timer, quick... balls. Those balls are VERY helpful especially those three that i mentioned. i caught one azelf with a quick ball on the first turn. also, a little trick is to press A as fast as you can for as long as you can while the ball is shaking, that works really well.

Dusk balls are the best ball to catch Azelf with since they have a 4x catch rate in caves. It will still take awhile but keep trying and you will get it eventually.

Buy 20 dusk balls and 15 ultra balls,and make sure you have pokemon that can make azelf asleep or paralysed

Try pressing A+B button on the DS while the ball is shaking.And buy Dusk balls.They can be sold at the pokemon league.
