What are some fun things to do in the summer?

• i have a v long summer holiday coming up and i think that i might run out of things to do (as it's 4.5 months!) i have a summer job, in order to earn some spending money and for soemthing to do. i just think i'm going to end up seeing the same people all the time, going to the same places and doing the same things. i really want to open up my horizons and try new stuff, maybe meet some new people. but suggestions like "travel" aren't that helpful - I need suggestions for things to do which aren't that far away from where I live, or at least in the same country (I live near London in the UK) - or just general little things to do which apply to anywhere in the world. and I haven't got that much money either!! thankyou - sorry i have to be so specific

  We have Bangalore Walks here, we walk all day, just to know the city better, a professional company handles this - different parts on different days. Lunch in a good small joint is a part of the tour Then they also organise treks in and around the city. I think they picked up this idea from some company in London. Walk around your city, a section at a time, observe things aound you, I am sure that you'll learn a lot about the city you live in at a very low cost. And for city like London, I think 4-5months is too less a time to explore it fully by walking. st
