What are some awesome activities for a 13-year-old party?

Sweet sixteen party ideas/ activities?

• My party is on july 17th and its a "backyard BBQ bash", i am going to wear a simple summer dress, my colors are pink, black, and white. We will eat burgers and hot dogs, classic BBQ. for desert we will have my cake, chocolate fountain and mini cupcakes. I need very inexpensive ideas, i don't want my party to burden my parents. the party is from 6-10. the party will be inside and outside.... should i go with the pink black and white them, or switch it to luau, it would be good to have tiki torches outside for light...? all i got is maybe a volleyball net and i was thinking maybe i could leave a box out and everyone writes one thing they like about me on a piece of paper (: i thought it would be a good thing to look back on. also im thinking maybe give out glow sticks for when it gets dark? any other ideas, i will have music and dancing all that normal party stuff, what else? AND MY PARENTS WILL BE THERE so it has to be appropriate, ex. no beer

  I like the idea of a luau. You could make leis for everyone. And you could have an Hawaiian themed scavenger hunt.
