  If you have a lot of people, (like 10+), Cutthroat Mafia is an amazing fun and scary game. Players: *Mafia: there are usually about 1 mafia to every five village people. (so in a game of 10 people, 2 mafia would be appropriate.) Mafia kill off as many village people as they can without getting caught. *Village people: everybody else. They try to figure out who the mafia are, before the mafia kills all of the villagers. Gameplay: Take a deck of cards, pick out as many cards as there are people, and define some type of card as a mafia card (aces, kings, jacks, whatever). Make the rest of the cards just random. After everyone has put their card in their pocket, have them spread out across the house. (turn all the lights off, first.) The mafia kill the village people by coming up behind them and sliding their hand across their throat. When a villager is dead, they either drop, or the mafia can move them to a hiding place. The killed villager is now a "dead body". When a VILLAGER comes across a body, they yell "dead body!" and everyone immediately comes together for a town council. The person who found the body makes an accusation against who they think it is, and everyone votes on whether to kill the accused. If enough people vote to kill the accused, then they show their card, and they are out of the game. In this manner, the village people try to weed out the mafia until they're all dead. Winning: The mafia win by killing off every villager without getting caught, and the villagers win by voting all the mafia dead. Notes: *There is no limit to the number of villagers a mafia can kill in one round. *Multiple people can be killed at a town meeting. *Mafia people cannot yell "dead body!" *Mafia can use the town meetings as a way to kill off people who are getting suspicious of them. *Mafia cannot kill each other. Every time I play this game, everybody gets totally freaked out, especially if the mafia are good. It's probably the best scary party game I've ever played. Don't let anyone use a flashlight, as this lessens the scare factor.
