nothing, they can be purchased today. Most fuel cells are in use for things like remote radio transmitters. Usually fueled by propane or other hydrocarbon gas instead of hydrogen. however they are not used in a production automobile because the price is too high, and because hydrogen is difficult to store. new manufacturing processes may bring this cost down. The best answer for 99% of automobiles would be a simple battery/electric. The EV-1 had a range of 150 miles, far more than the daily needs of most people. google "Tesla electric car" to see an example of what can be done.

Well, we could start using hydrogen cylinders in our cars right now, but the say it's unsafe. Actually, fuel tank is more unsafe that a hydrogen cylinder. But actually, I think that higher powers (oil companies) don't want any alternative energies for vehicles to apperar for now.

We can't produce or store Hydrogen nearly as cost effectively as gasoline.
