How do I block websites(I.e. a specific group of websites if you know what I mean)?

  • I want to block pornography websites on my home computer - Windows Vista - and parental controls won't work because everyone knows the administrator password in our family; I won't be allowed to change it. Also, I have tried the option on 'Internet options' where you put ratings on specific websites, but I can't put it on a whole category of websites - only one website at a time and I'm bound to miss a few. Any help is needed. Thanks. P.s. I want this help so I can prove, if needed, that I haven't been on such websites.

I would suggest a hardware based solution. Buy a router with parental controls, configure it, and keep the password secret. A search of router with parental controls will provide many router options.

i can see, if you go into you internet browser and type in 192.168.0.1 then it will ask you for a username and password its usually username: admin password: password << that easy lol but if that doesnt work contact your service provider. Anyways once you get into your router you can go to settings and block websites which are to your choice.

I suggest using Verity. You can block porn sites by keyword or domain. Keyword would be a lot easier because then you don't have to go to each specific domain and add it in. Verity is completely free as well.
