Colours and Sounds. Its been said that colours make sounds. How ?

Sorry have been through so many pages to get here I've forgot the question;) Sounds and colours are both vibrations but colours vibrate at a much higher rate than sounds. If one can find the frequency of vibration for a given colour then it will also have a 'harmonic' sound which vibrates at a much lower frequency. Hence seven prime colours and seven musical notes (plus or minus)

well because we are intelligent we can detect colours and also describe things about them for instance..... Red =horror Blue=the ocean Green=The trees and grass yellow=the sun i do know what you mean but its hard to explain

They don't. At least not for most people. But there is a condition of the brain called synesthesia which causes people to "see" sounds. Look it up on google for more.

Colors are determined by how eyes respond to different wavelength of electromagnetic waves. Sounds are pressure waves in the atmosphere. They're totally different phenomena. Light (color) does not produce sound.

Some people are able to learn to play by ear by associating tones with colors. Colors come in different frequencies - the colors being different frequencies of light. Sound comes in frequencies as well.

your brain doesn't actually translate sounds into colors or colors into sounds unless you are on LSD or some other hallucinogen.

So the question dopes colors make sound ? my first answer is no. because sound is a air - pressure wave, and color is an electromagnetic wave. then I read you story , and i think that I understand what you want to say, if it is true that your brain makes the colors, then can yoyur brain also transform a gray-shaded color into a sound ? I think that is possibles you can have the sensation of hearing sounds when looking at colors. This can be accomplished by eating certain mushrooms. Maybe there are also people who can do it sadly enough wothout any chemical substance as an aid. So the answer is yes. but i dont know how.

Yes! You need one small solar cell, one small battery operated audio amplifier, one input jack for the amplifier and two 6" lengths of low gauge wire (one black one red). Solder Iron and solder. Solder the the wire to the the + - poles of the solar cell and the other ends of the to the input jack. Plug the input jack into the audio amplifier. Now take the contraption outside and wait for the sunrise. Or if can't wait for the sunrise, turn on a light and see what happens. The use of filters will break down the spectrum! It works!
