Can anyone help me on my investigatory project that is related to physics? i must make an improvised machine..

i must have an specific topic on physics and i will make an improvised machine, like for example a steam engine.. or anything that is related to physics.. it must be a mechanical work.. it must have the background of that study, the procedures to be followed to create the improvised machine...
