Capacitance can be calculated using the formula C = epsilon * A / d (where epsilon is the permittivity of free space 8.854×10^−12 F m^–1) a) C = (8.854 * 10 ^ -12) * (0.022^2) / (0.4 * 10 ^ -3) (converting into SI units) = 1.07 * 10 ^ -11 F = 10.7 pF b) Capacitance is defined as the amount of charged that can be stored per volt. ie C = Q / V 10.7 * 10 ^ -12 = Q / 100 Q = 1.07 * 10 ^ -9 = 1.07 nC I hope I calculated everything right!
