Would you ever travel to Rosario?

Will we ever be able to time travel?

  • Given the theory that if we are ever able to time travel, surely someone travelling back in time from our future would have made contact, does this mean we will NEVER time travel as no one has ever been contacted before. Tough one!!!!

    If you were to travel back in time NOW to lets say 2005 and talk to the old self you would seem like you were from the future. So it wouldn't make sense since to the old self 2005 is NOW. But it can't be now since the new self went BACK in time. So what is 2005? A backup we can now access and modify? doubtful. Because if 2005 to the old self would be now. Than 2009 to us now could possible also be a back then to someone in the future. Which would mean that right now as we speak it could be the year 2047 somewhere and someone could be asking this same question on yahoo answers about going BACK in time to 2009. Which means that at any given time there would have to be an infinite amount of time periods dating back to the beginning of time all the way to the end of time. But this doesn't feel like anything but RIGHT NOW. So time travel would be a very hard thing to understand if you really think about it. Let's say you go back in time and tell yourself not to get married with your still current wife in 2009 because she ends up cheating on you and completely breaking your heart. So you decide to not even meet her but go for her sluttier friend and simply have some fun. Turns out you contracted something and now because of your decision you end up terminally ill and die in 2008. Which means you never made it to 2009. But that would mean you never went back in time to warn yourself. So there was nothing to be warned about. But there had to have been because if you hadn't gone back you would never had been in the position to warn yourself. So when you think about it it doesn't even make sense. Time travel to me is a waste of resources. I think some people get so caught up in imaginary scenarios that it's hard for them to think in real world terms. Every time i fire up youtube or watch a family video i go back in time. And to me that's good enough. :D

Even if it was possible, the gov. wouldn't allow it because think of all the **** the jackasses and dumbasses would do if they went back in time. Basically **** up the whole country, most likely the whole world and we might not even exist anymore. So no, we will never be able to time travel.

Time travel is a pandoras box with more destructive potential than hydrogen bombs. If I were a time traveller, I would guard that secret carefully to ensure that this kind of power didn't fall into the wrong hands, while hoping I could manage to use enough discretion and judgment that my hands aren't also the wrong hands.

although presently its impossile. but may be on some day. personally i don't believe that time travelling is possible but one of my friend says that whatever a human mind can think is possible some day or the other if humans continue to advance the same way as in the near past........

Think about, it someone had the immense knowledge that it would require to actually construct a time machine (since Einstein, one of the greatest minds ever, has given conclusive evidence that time travel is in fact impossible), that that person will also have the good common sense to NOT tell us about it, since we as a society are very destructive.

It's a paradox Consider the effect on economic activity. Go back in time, invest some money and collect the interest - become a billionaire everyone does the same no-one needs/wants to work to earn money money becomes worthless investment stops / never happened no-one invents time travel.

Yes we all are traveling in time, with 1 second per second speed :) We are able to change our speed in time by changing our speed in space: the faster we are moving in space the slower we are moving in time. Time for astronauts (while on the fly) are going slower then a time for people on earth. If anyone ever reach the speed of light, then the time for this person will stop. It is a plausible assumption, that if we reach the speed more then speed of light than we will go back in time. However it is just an assumption.
